Strawberry lemonade
Ultra-fresh, and greedy, here is the drink for the summer: a lemonade with strawberries, with lime and a hint of mint. A treat for children (and their parents too ;-)).
This homemade version is not very sweet.
Preparation of strawberry lemonade (about 1.5l)
- 500 gr of strawberries
- 1 handful of mint leaves
- juice of 6 limes (lime)
- 1 liter of water (sparkling or flat)
- 1/3 cup of maple sugar (or honey, maple syrup, agave syrup ... or other sugars). You will sweeten according to your taste.
- In a blender, mash the strawberries and sieve.
- In a large carafe, mix the strawberry purée with the lemon juice, water and sugar of your choice. Add some mint leaves and reserve in the fridge.
- When serving well chilled, you can add a few slices of lemon and slices of strawberries.
Health information:
Strawberries are rich in fiber, antioxidants and vitamins A, B8 and B9 and C. They also provide potassium, and are a source of folic acid. They have anti-cancer properties. Very rich in water (90%) they are low in calories.
